His Holiness John Paul II
John Paul II visited our country twice. In 1982 during the Falklands War, and in 1987. Both years the Argentine Post Office issued commemorative stamps to its presence in our country. In 1978, the intermediation of John Paul II prevented a war with Chile. Our whole country holds a very high esteem for him and his work.
